About Malaysia Visa On Arrival for Indians

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country that is a preferred destination for tourists across the world. The Government of Malaysia offers an online visa on arrival for Indians and Chinese. This facility is available since 2017. Indian travellers will be required to get registered under the Electronic Travel Registration & Information (eNTRI). The visa will be limited to 15 days and cannot be extended. Travellers can also re-enter the country after 45 days from the date of leaving.

Indians can also obtain Malaysia visa on arrival for India by paying a fee of 100 USD and can stay in the country for a maximum period of 7 days. Types of Malaysia Visa for Indians

There are mainly three types of Malaysia Visa for Indians as mentioned below:

  • Malaysia eNTRI Visa: This type of visa allows a tourist to stay in the country for a maximum period of 15 days.
  • Single entry eVisa: This visa allows only a single entry for a tourist who can stay for a maximum period of 30 days. The validity is 3 months from the date of issue. It is mainly for those on social visit.
  • Multiple entry eVisa: This visa allows a tourist to enter the country multiple times and they can stay a maximum period of 30 days. The validity is 3 months to 12 months from the date of issue. It is mainly for those travelling for business purpose and also for visits regarding government-to-government matters.
  • Transit Visa: International tourists travelling to other countries and need to enter Malaysia must obtain transit visa. Tourists who are on transit and continue their journey without leaving the airport premises do not need this visa.
  • Transit Without Visa (TWOV): This type of visa is applicable for a duration of 120 hours after clearance from Malaysian Immigration.

If travellers need to visit the country for a VDR With Reference Visa must avail a visa before entering the country. The following category must apply for VDR:

The Malaysia eNTRI visa can be obtained by following a simple procedure, as mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Visit the online portal for visa application
  • Step 2: Complete the online application with relevant details
  • Step 3: Provide all the supporting documents
  • Step 4: Submit the application and pay the required visa fee

The applicant will receive the visa through email.

You can contact any of the Malaysian Representative Office for availing the visa. Moreover, Visa on Arrival can be obtained by the tourists at the specific entry points. They must have a confirmed return flight ticket and minimum funds of 500 USD.

However, if the date falls after 90 days from the issuance, the traveller must reapply for the visa.
