“I have been an asthma patient since childhood. All my childhood, I grew up trying different medicines to help me feel and do better. However, nothing did much. When I was 28, my husband, Anil, introduced me to naturopathy. Naturopathy didn't just help me manage my asthma effectively but did much more. It helped my gut do better and improved my immunity too”, says Kavita, a 34-year-old homemaker living in the hustle and bustle of Delhi. Kavita further reveals how Naturopathy has helped her understand the importance of immunity. Thus, ultimately helping her treat a variety of health problems.
Naturopathy, also known as nature's medicine or cure, has been a popular type of alternative medicine in India for ages. For thousands and thousands of years, it has been a crucial part of India's medical system. It believes in treating the body's inner ability to do good and heal itself.
National Naturopathy Day, an annual event aims to highlight the awareness around naturopathy and its benefits. The day aims to share knowledge and resources on drug-less therapy to boost both physical and mental health.
National Naturopathy Day is celebrated on the 18th of November every year to raise awareness and educate people about naturopathy and its healing benefits.
It aims to spread the word on naturopathy among local as well as global audiences. The event is an opportunity for several organizations, students, researchers, teachers, and others to come together and understand the opportunities, challenges, and scope of growth in the sector.
National Naturopathy Day was first celebrated in 2018 by the Ministry of AYUSH. The government introduced this day as an opportunity to encourage and promote Naturopathy, a particular type of Indian treatment. The aim is to encourage individuals to prevent diseases by healing the body's immunity and altering measures like diet and healthy lifestyle changes that cause non-communicable diseases.
Naturopathy Day is also observed to mark the joining of Mahatma Gandhi as a life member of the Nature Care Foundation trust and signing the deed. Gandhiji is also looked upon as the father of naturopathy in India.

Naturopathy is designed with a unique core. It uses natural agents like sunlight, air, water, and more as agents of your therapy.
Naturopathy uses the concept of life, or Prana, as the central force of naturopathy. Health experts practising naturopathy try improving the Prana flow to improve your healing and body's balance.
The best part about Indian Naturopathy is its diverse range of natural therapies. Some of them are:
